Foil Tx - not to offend because I'm not really sure what would happen. But gains are checked in AC V right? might you have not changed it to DC V before checking the battery. Note I did the opposite one time and it fried the DC V part of my DMM. I'm reminded of this every time I need DC V and have to swith to the "battery checker" function

Another suggestion - if the new battery was the cure....maybe you should go back and check your gains.

Yes they are AC, I missed that the first time I did it as well a long time ago. If I remember correctly I couldn't get anywhere near the desired voltage and went back and read the manual again where I caught my mistake. I never checked anything with AC voltage before I changed the battery out in DMM so I'm not sure if it read way over like it was doing in DC voltage. At about half volume the Rev 10's are as loud in the boat as everyone can stand and I haven't heard anything thing that sounds at all distorted so we should be good and it's on this weeks list to redo that. Thanks for the concern, it's on the list to do this week.
