    Whats this wire?

2002 SANTE with Excal. Sorry, I could not get a picture tonight, I will tomorrow, but I wanted to ask anyway. There is a single green wire coming out of what looks like the main engine wiring harness with a male (I think) connector on the end (this is in the area directly above the trans). It is not connected to anything. Then, there is another single green wire with a female connector going into a wire loom with wires that connect to the trans temp sensor (different color wires) and a few other wires. Anyone have any idea what the wires are and if they should be connected? I bought this boat over the winter and am just now able to start digging into it.

If my memory serves me, the knock sensor wire was green. Could that be it? Why would they have a connector there for the knock sensor though???

Thanks...not it though. I will get a picture tonight. Mine is on the front of the engine by the trans/v drive.

The extra wires are for different applications like the Excalibur with closed cooling or other options that boat manufactures use in their application. So PCM only builds one harness for it and just zipties the extra plugs and wires up to neaten them up.
