    01 SAN heater leaking

Took the boat out the other day and the heaters leaving a puddle of hot water down at me feet. I know other guys have dealt with this so any info/suggestions would be great. I started pulling out my panel below my dash and just a quick look didnt reveal anything. Hoses looked in good shape. I'm gonna work on pulling it out a little later.

    Thanks,

    Joe

    RE: 01 SAN heater leaking

Your problem most likely is a ruptured heater core. If it is a factory heater (Heater Craft) you can get a replacement core from your local auto store. It crosses over to a Modine Model Number 702273. I think they are around $25 or $30 bucks.

Jesus this forum seems to lose a post of mine a week..... Just typed a long thing about my frustrations with boat heaters and the heatercores going out....

Long story short....mine was DUMPING water twice last year..... Was ready to call Heater Craft myself. One time was miles up in Lake Powell and if I didn't have guys with me that knew how to fix such a thing, I would have been SOL to say the least..... Second time my son was worried the boat was going to sink....(water flowing on the floor).....

Anyway....can you feel my frustrations with Heater Craft.......
