    Water Impellar Direction "2002 SANTE"

    Hi CC Fans,

I had posted a thread concerning my over heating problem, however this post is specific to the water impellar. I am going to be removing it this weekend as I think the dealer may have accidentally installed it wrong. When I remove it i want to make sure the blades are in the right direction. Can someone post an image or let me know what way the blades are supposed to be curved with in the housing. I really think this is the problem as no water is feeding up from the impellar.

    Thanks

if you suspect that the pump isn't priming and/or moving water through the hoses, just wait for the motor to be cold and then start it for a few seconds with the hose removed from the bottom side of the pump. you will know instantly if the pump is doing its thing because water will be shooting down into the bilge. then you can just back flush the hoses to remove any possible obstructions ...

        hi all,

this weekend i tried a few things with the water pump system. So I noticed water was getting to the thermostat but after that it was all hot. The exhaust manifolds were empty.

I tried one thing and took the thermostat right out. I ran my engine totally cold and sure enough the engine stayed cold. NOt sure what the issue can be ..

        1) was there not enough pressure from the impellar to open the thermostat. I would like to know if these are strickly functional from temperatures ?
        2) the thermostat could have seized? Has anyone else had a thermostat issue. Good thing they are only 30 bucks

Can anyone also tell me if its bad to run the engine completely cold? I ran my boat for a couple hours this weekend with no thermostat ....

You will use a lot more gas with the computer thinking the engine is always cold, I think.
