    Heater engine connections

So, I'm up with a crabby baby right now and was working through the how to install the heater. I've got a GT-40. My main question is where do I connect the lines on the engine. From what I understand there are two temp sensors. One on the starboard side and one port. One is for the S.L.O.W system(starboard, drivers) and the other is the standard temp sender(port, observer). I got this info looking at the manual, can't get out to the boat with the baby.

    1. I put the "t" on the port side temp sensor right?
    2. I'll put the return hose on the water pump elbow right? Or I can "t" into the raw water before the impeller for better heat?

Thanks guys! Sorry if any of this doesn't make sense, it's late.
    Jeff

There is a temp sensor on the top of the engine located near the front and then you want to attach the other hose to the starboard side block plug with a barbed fitting.

      RE: Heater engine connections

I just installed my heater in an '01 GT40 and used the port side temp sensor towards the front of the engine and the starboard side block plug just like skinautique said and it worked great, even at lower engine RPM's. I did have to make a trip to the hardware store to get a couple brass fittings to adapt the supplied fittings to, but aside from that the install went without a hitch.
