    Ballast pump

Hi everyone. I managed to pull a wire out of my ballast pump in ny 01 san. It's the one further forward and not the one furthest back. Can anyone tell me which pump this is? Empty or fill? Cheers

I believe the forward one is the fill pump. Water comes from the hull scoop to the intake of the front pump. The exhaust from the front pump goes to the exhaust of the rear pump. The intake of the rear pump goes to a Tee to both tanks. They basically push water through each other to get their job done.

Ok thanks. That makes sense actually. Fill pump closest to intake and empty pump closest to tanks.

Thanks again. Going down to boat tomorrow so will try and pull the pump so I can either fix it or replace it with a spare I have.
