Finally got the boat running by changing points, ignition coil and distributor condenser. Got it on the water idled like a champ and once i got it under way, I went about 200 yards and it slowly backed itself off power then stalled. Got it to start again and it did everything again. idled well went under power then died. It went down hill from there, to the point where i felt the idle was off because i had to have it revved to not die. Eventually it wouldn't start. Next day i adjusted the idle up and got it to run. Had to get it on the trailer immediately so I didn't get a chance to run it up.
Thoughts?
-Fuel Filter
-Fuel Lines ( I hear ethanol fuel is destroying lines)
Any other ideas?
