    2001 SAN perfect pass issue

I recently purchased a 2001 SAN. The perfect pass control lights up, flashes and goes solid for set but does not control the speed. Is there a fuse for the servo or anything else I should look at?
    Thanks!

Does it indicate a speed while you're moving? After you unlock the boat from the keypad, does the servo move a bit, like it's doing some sort of initialization?

Also check your paddle wheel on the bottom of the boat. I recently broke all 4 paddles off mine and the PP stopped working.

The knob on the servo was stuck probably from lack of use. I freed it up and did a motor test which seemed to check out. I then tried to set a speed and the control light went off and could not get it to come back on. Maybe an electrical issue? It's not digital, the control is a small round switch pad with on/off increase/ decrease and resume, located below the throttle.
      thanks!

you probably need to do more work on the servo or just replace it. I just tore frozen one apart and repaired it. Did you pull the rotor out and see if it was rusty or just turn the knob?

I just turned the knob counter clockwise then turned power on and it seemed to reset. When I actually tried to set a speed it must have blown a fuse because the red control light went out. What did you need to do to repair it?

If you think you have blown a fuse have a look where the power lead plugs into the perfect pass control box. There should be an in line fuse on the +12v wire.

Mikeski- How did you repair the frozen servo? My PP is doing the same thing.

              Thanks

You can take them apart and take some fine sand paper and rub the stator down inside the motor. Give it a good clean out. Don't go too mad though else the motor will work but won't hold when the throttle return spring kicks in

I removed the servo motor and gave it a good cleaning, the PP works when the boat is empty, but with ballast it doesn't want to take over control. Are there some setpoints I need to adjust in the PerfectPass module?
