    Sputter in idle

    Hi - when pulling back into my lift after driving for a while, my '92 nautique excel sputters. Like not enough gas gets to the engine for it to continue running smoothly. It almost shuts off, then continues. The cure is to give it gas, then it works. After the throttle has been down for a while it idles fine. Starts well, except for sometimes needing to give it addnl gas in idle. What could this be?

    Took it out again last night and it died on me several times. Are these symptoms of a carborator problem? Fuel pump? Its almost like fuel is not consistently getting to the engine when in idle.

      Did you try posting on CCFAN as well? The guys over there know their older motors very well. I tend to lean on PN for the newer model things
