How to fix cracked teak swim step?

Anyone have suggestions on how to fix the last board on a teak swim step from a 2003 Air Nautique 216? I was thinking stainless screws and gorilla glue.

From the photos it looks to me like the gap that has formed ( in the top surface between 2boards) is being caused by the split leading from the screw shown on the second photo. I would try to salvage what you have by simply resetting the screws (the last two nearest the gap) in a new location. I would think the steps are, remove the last set of screws, then see if you can close up the gap that has formed by compressing the top boards back in place (big clamp?) and then replace the screws into new holes where there is solid wood being careful to not cause a new split. Those splits come from stress and also from the penetration of the screw being so close to the end of the board with the grain of the wood.

In the picture, I am actually opening it up a bit so it would be visible in the picture. Any teak lumber places that anyone knows of to rebuild/finish the end?

Teak is extremely difficult to find in the U.S. these days. Good luck though.

Call these two locations and ask what they have. The first one is an amazing place. Both are in the know. If they don't have it, nobody does. If they do have it, maybe a hardwood shop in your area might. or maybe these guys can ship a piece in a box or tube.
