I have a 2007 SV-211 TE with ZR6 6.0L engine with 120 hrs. on it. The boat was running good as usual when we initially took the boat out on the lake. Within a period of about a half hour I noticed the engine wasn't as strong as it usually was. Top speed was about 38mph instead of 48mph and it was much harder to pull out skiers. I noticed the check engine light was on when I initially hit the start button and the dash instruments turned on, but when the engine was running, the light turned off. Any ideas what could be causing this?

With the dash on engine not running then there will be a check engine light as engine does not have oil pressure, but the light goes out when it is started so there is no codes present. Is this the first outing of the year, and did the engine get fogged when winterized, if it is then remove the spark plugs and check for any deposits on the electrode and porcelaine, if it red or pinkish in color replace the spark plugs with new ones as they are more easily fouled out by the chemicals in the fogging oil and today's gasoline.
