2002 ski nautique speedometer

I just changed my digital tach and speedometer on my 2002 Ski Nautique.
I am utilizing the the perfect pass module for the speed in put.

When I turn the power on my speedometer goes past 50 mph, without turning on the engine.

Can anyone help me trouble shoot the problem?
