    jabsco pump locked up?

I have 2011 san 210 with 50 hours on it. The belly pump appears to be locked up. It is whining when on but much quieter than the others are when they are pumping. It is getting hot where the cover for the impeller is also. I removed the cover for impeller and it will spin by hand. It nearly ran a complete cycle like this and never tripped the breaker. Any suggestions on easy fixes or call the dealer? Thanks guys

Are the others not getting hot in the same place? I ask because I have 3 Johnsons and they all sound different. One is nearly silent. They all work the same.

they are all normally a lot louder than this one is now- the port side was filling at same time this happened and that cover was cool to the touch- i am assuming it was hot b/c no water was coming through to cool it

I had the same issue with my pump. The flat part of plastic center of the impeller rounded out. So the shaft of the pump would spin and the impeller wouldn't.

Is it spinning on the shaft? If so, there is your problem.
