I have a few questions about the PCM high pressure fuel pump (p/n RA080025A) used in the FCC. Does anyone know the psi or gallons per hour rating for the pump independent from the fuel pressure regulator?
I understand that the operating psi of the pump at WOT is 39-42psi on the fuel rail.
Would a high pressure fuel pump rated at 65psi (or higher) work in the GT40 fuel injection system? Would that pumps psi be bled off to the mechanical specification of the fuel pressure regulator (39-42psi)? Would said fuel pump "overwork" the fuel pressure regulator?
Would it be prudent to use a high pressure fuel pump rated at 45psi?
Thank you!
