OEM or Teleflex?

Im ordering a new steering cable tomorrow as mine has seized up. I unhooked the rudder from the cable and its definately the cable. I took the old one off already and it is stamped Teleflex so maybe its been replaced already?

Anyway, on Nautique Parts they have an OEM cable or Teleflex equivalent. Is one known to be better than the other? They are close to the ame price.

Nevermind. I was wrong. OEM cable is 300 bucks! Teleflex will go back in it.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of boat do you have. Im looking for the teleflex number for a 90 sport nautique steering cable. OEM for me is 300 as well and I want to avoid that at all cost. Thanks
