    Slapping sound from platform

I Noticed on our new boat that while surfing i could hear a slapping sound under platform. I called dealer and he says its called platform noise. The fix would be to remove it and put silicone down before installing it back. Its not loose at all and i did a quick test by slapping water under it while docked and it does in fact make a loud slapping noise. Anybody else experience this?

Mine does. Nothing to worry about. They move a little on the brackets and as the wave comes under it.

Silicone as in a cushion like you see under glass topped tables or door silencers? Does it get placed on the top of the bracket so it is sandwiched in place between the platform and the bracket?

Yes this is what I was told to do. Sandwich it. I guess it makes a type of barrier or something. Im not going to do it as our boat is on a lift and that would'nt be very fun doing this on a floating tube
