Oil pressure alarm

OK team, here is the next blog.

On my 2006 196 with 330HP motor. When I turn off the motor the low oil alarms and flashes one time. When the boat is running, both the display and LED gauge disply read properly. Is it just the motor turning off before the computer.

Any ideas?

My 2006 often does the same thing....especially when the engine is really worked up. It might do it every time and I just don't notice it. But I often do notice it.

The engine and its control system are separate from the dashpod. When you press stop, the engine dies (and pressure subsides) faster than the dashpod figures out the engine isn't running so the oil pressure alarm goes off.

I agree with Air Tool...........mine will do it at start up for a split second.

You're right. Mine will do it at start up after an oil change. Its a bit scary sometimes...especially first change of the year when I've forgotten it does that.

My 08 210 does it every time on start up.

Boat has been checked by my dealer and have been assured all ok. Another 08 210 dealer has in stock does the exact same thing...go figure?

Thanks gang, that is what I thought. Mine doesn't do it at start up, only shut down.

Mine does it at start up if it has been sitting for a day or two. Not when warm.
