SN, re pcm "cable problem", wasn't there a service bulletin about a plug connection that may have included '05s?
And in most states, the "lemon law' referes exclusively to "motor vehicles" & unfortunately they don't interpret that to mean boats. A VERY select no. of states have LL for boats, doubt if it's 5. OF

Not sure about that one. It is possible but I haven't seen it.
What would a "plug" have to do with the cable?

BASC, lemon law basically applies to some products that have a defect in manufacturing, have been taken for repair three times and continue to have the same problem. After the last repair (the third one), the manufacturer needs to be notified in writting and they have one more chance to solve the problem. If the problem is not corrected after this last attempt, the consumer can get a new product (it applies to motor vehicles and even computers, each state has different laws but I believe Florida does cover boats and RV's).

I am no expert but understand the lemon law also carries a certain time, like a warranty. After 24 months you can no longer "apply" or "claim" that a product is a "lemon".

        I think that covers it.

          building suspense

Sorry for the delay. My dealership has diagnosed and repaired the problem already . So much for the really expensive canoe. Pretty good right, was impressed and really happy. THey are so thorough though, they wouldnt give it to me today bc they wanted to water test it and make sure it really worked flawlessly before returning it to me. Wow, is that great service or what ? OK, it was the low pressure fuel pump. It failed as a component and would nt allow fuel into the engine, efi blah blah blah. Apparently, the dealer tells me they see this periodically and usually early within the first tank of gas. If that's true there's probably a problem with them and perhaps should be redesigned or recalled or something. Either way, we should be back on the water very soon. I'll keep you posted on how it runs when I get it back.

A few weeks ago we launched my 05 for the first time. After about 40 mins the boat started sputtering and then just died. The dealer was with me though. After gettting towed in and the boat going back to the dealer they found that it was the low pressure fuel pump also. I've taken it out 3 times now since then and it's running great!

As you said it sux sitting out on the water with a brand new boat being broke down. At least we looked good though They definatly should check into this since it's happened to a few people now.

I got it back today. Apparently did well on the water test after the fuel pump was replaced. Feels good to have it back. Unfortunately now the weather stinks and we'll have to wait to try it out. I'm sure it will work great. Thanks for all your help.

I had the wire connection come loose on me like my third or fourth trip out to the lake. Luckily I know how to "hot wire" the boat and by-pass the correct craft puters. Since then i have had it happen at least four more time in the last two years. Mostly after some rough water riding. I am about ready to trash the factory setup and modify it to a screwed on connector.

As far as yellow's boat, I have my bets on an ignition problem.

My boat had less than 10 hours on it and I was out running it around and then all of a sudden my oil pressure gauge went to zero and the idiot gauges started flashing.
So I killed it immediately. I restarted and it would show some oil pressure then drop back down to zero.
I was out in the middle of te lake LOL.
I got towed in and took it straight to the dealer. Turns out it was just a bad oil sending unit, it never really lost oil pressure. They replaced under warranty and I was back on the water the next weekend.
So I know how you feel. Dont sweat it, the bugs will get worked out. Alot boats have a few bugs in the beginning.
My uncle had his brand new MC X-30 out on the water one weekend and it died and would not start back up. It had less than 20 hours on it. My father in law had to tow him in (an hour tow as we were at the far north end ofg our lake) It turned out to be a bad fuel pump also, replaced under warranty. You know what they say....**** happens

                  Glad to hear its fixed!!!
