Is that a nylock nut? If not, you need a castle nut. As for direction, you would not have been able to get it on backwards. The taper wouldn't have allowed it.

Yes it's a fresh nylock nut. I do realize I shoul know this, but do I need to crank the nut down so it's seated against the prop? I'll be lapping it Thursday, but I just threw it on this afternoon so I wouldn't have to do it at 7am
The 1464 performed beautifully today. We had a full tank, about 3600lbs of total weight and she got on plane like it was almost nothing. Then, it was close to effortless to keep proper speed on a windy(as in curvy) river with no perfect pass. I could actually feel how much less the boat was straining when I got up.
Sorry for the hijack but is anybody using the 1464 on a Python powered 210? My buddy just upgraded to a 220 so he needs LH props now and is willing to sell me the 1464 he recently picked up. I'll be able to try before I buy but just curious if anybody is using this set up and how they like it. Would love to know what you are seeing for RPMs when loaded up around 23 MPH and again at 30ish when empty. Thanks!
