    2002 Sport Nautique - Overheating

Started the year off with an overheating problem. Changed the impeller and the thermostat....still running hot. Thought it may be an air leak in the sea strainer.....not. Problem diagnosed. I clamped the water hose on the oil cooler to tight and it created about a 40% blockage flowing through the cooler.

Time to relax. Runs great now.

Congrats for figuring that out, feels much better than taking it to the local shop. I am having the opposite problem (i think). I am running consistently at 145F at idle, and it increased to 150-155 at throttle. Should I be concerned? There does seem to be a decent (or excessive) amount of exhaust coming out, not sure if it is related. Other than that, boat is running perfect.
