    finding a GT-40 ECM?

Looking for some help here. I have a 2001 Pro Air Nautique with GT-40. Everything was great and then it suddenly died. Took it in and the dealer was having problem finding why there wasn't any power to the fuel pump. So they came to the conclusion that the ECM was out. They are saying anywhere from 1300 to 2K for a new one if they can find it. Any ideas on where to pick one up at?

The fuel pump power comes from the fuel pump relay, and it is pretty much hot all the time. the ECM just grounds the coil of the fuel pump relay, allowing electricity to go to the fuel pumps, that are in turn grounded.
    Check out this thread.

The sevice dept did sas hooking up a ground wire would make it work but not something the shop could do or recommend as a fix.

If you look in the thread I sent you, you will find another link to a post I made about checking the fuel pressure, and you ground one terminal on the test port that commands the fuel pumps to come on. If grounding and disconnecting this terminal causes your fuel pumps to start and stop, I would think the ECM is OK.

Either the service department does not understand the ECM DOES NOT SEND POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP, or you misunderstood them.

You also need to find the link in the downloads section of this website, and down load the GT-40 service manual.

Have a look in this thread on CCfan.

          http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum...40-fuel-supply

It turned out to be the ECM but went through diagnosis before purchasing.

"There must be a business in the US that repairs auto ECMs. As the GT40 is a Ford auto based solution they use the same ECM (EEC1V) but with a slightly different "program" stored in the PROM (Programable Read Only Memory). If you can find this company send your old computer there for repair. Make sure that they send your original one back. "
