I recently bought a used 2004 226, and am having a blast with it.
Recently, the 1200 rpm light as started blinking, so I checked the v-drive oil, and it is very low. I've been trying to figure out the best (only?) way to add oil. The manual says to remove "breather cap (B)", however the picture in the manual appears to be for a different model than mine, and I can' find anything that looks remotely like a breather cap or the fill cap they show in the manual.
1. What is the best way to add oil to a 226 v-drive?
2. Can I simply add oil through the oil level tube? If so, any tricks?
Thanks in advance.
Mike
