I've got an intermittent no-start and I am pretty sure its to do with the lanyard. I took the switch right out and was going to join the connections, but then found out that I could start fine without the switch, and without jumpers between the 2 purple leads! So, I'm thinking the problem is at the opposite end, but I can't find that end! Where does the safety switch go to?
BTW, I've also replaced the neutral safety switch. I also hear the fuel pumps doing their thing when i turn the key. This no-start would always happen when i first got the boat off the trailer for the first start of the day. I would usually wiggle the lanyard and/or throttle, and then we would fire up, and there would be no more issues for the rest of the day. The problem would return days later when we went for the first start of the day.
