Help with prop choice for 2008 SAN 230

Requesting some input from my fellow Nautique owners...finally had our first major prop ding at Don Pedro and need a replacement. Have a 2008 SAN 230 with the 343. The ACME 1235 has been solid but wondering if any other 230 users out there have gone to an OJ 5 blade or can suggest a better prop? Top 3 uses are wakeboarding, wake surfing, and hanging with the kids. We always have a full boat so guessing 2000 lbs of people/gear, and roughly 750 pounds of ballast when wakeboarding and another 2000 pounds when we surf.

Don't mind sacrificing top end speed for better hole shot and low end performance. Thanks for any suggestions.

Jeff is testing several on PN's 210...check the thread "That's Whats up!' I would like to see one started for the 230 as well. I have the 1235 on a 2010 230 343 and am looking for a spare prop. The question is there a better one out there and should the 1235 become the spare? I will record some stats the next time out and post to this thread.

Anybody know if there were any hull changes between 2008 and 2010.

I should be able to post the stats for the 1235 this weekend

After a conversation today wth Joe at Acme, I ordered the 2245 5 blade and hope to test it the following weekend.

OK here are the stats for the 1235 with 3 people (590lbs) and probably 150lbs of gear in the boat. Gas at 75%.

22mph...no ballast...2975rpm; factory ballast...3200rpm; factory and 2-750s one in each locker...3500rpm. In the last setup the boat had a hard time getting on plane. Had to put gate down and then switch to vert after reaching speed.
11mph...starboard and belly full with 750 in locker and two sitting on back seats (380lbs) ...2600rpm with gate down and 2700 with gate up. Wake curled better with gate down.

Quick update, the guys at ACME recommended I try the 1873 as I was looking for a better holeshot under weight. Got to mess around last Saturday and the prop delivered as promised. Had a ful boat and additional 2K ballast...thing got up and moved. Lost about 2mph on the top end vs. the 1235 ( 32mph@ 4kRPM) and spinning 3200 RPM at 24.5 which is we're I normally run. Noticed the plane time was reduced by 2-3 seconds at least, maybe more. Might be coincidence but everyone who wakeboarded also commented how easy it was to get up and asked if was doing anything different.

Also noticed smoother low speed performance and the wife one shot the trailer at the end of the day much easier than usual. Said she noticed more forgiveness under low speed. I couldn't believe the smoother and faster plane out with a full boat. 1235 is an awesome prop (shout out to Delta propeller in Lodi,ca for a quick turnaround on reshaping the old 1235 in 5 days) that I will use as a spare or when I'm on a bigger lake that will have longer cruises.

Will report back on surfing results after this weekend.
