01 Air Nautique Ballast Gauge Problem

I have a 2001 Air Nautique with the 2 rear right and left factory installed ballast. I noticed that both gauges aren't working. Both are on empty. The tanks seem to be filling and emptying alright, just both gauges don't work. I see each tank has a sensor float in it, wires seem ok. Is there anywhere both gauges are tied together electronically so they both wont work? Any ideas much appreciated.

Not sure now if the gauges are my problem. Had the boat in the water for a few weeks. When i filled the tanks, the gauges did not move but water was comming out of both overflow ports. I figured the tanks were full. Pulled the boat out of the water on Saturday, I drained the tanks beforehand. While draining I noticed the pump was done after only 30 seconds or so. Usually takes 5-10mins. When I got the boat out, I tried draining them to see if they were really empty and they were. Is it possible for the water to come out of the overflows without the tanks filling? Is there a plumbing diagram anywhere as to how these things work?

i think it is the sensor as well. Sarg adam sent you a link to buy the sensor, however i had the same issue a while back and found a good mroe cost efficient part that another planet nautique fan told me about.
