Random Boat Cover Question

hey all,

I have a new 2010 SANTE 230 and it currently sits outside till my garage is done. The past few rain storms have built a pretty large pool in of water on the cover. I am using the stakes but in the back the rain builds up right above the drives seat. Has anyone experianced this happening and have you came up with a nice DIY for this?

I was thinking of looking at some PVC with flat ends to put in the area's for storage.

Thoughts?

Had this experience as well (on a 210), but I managed to resolve it by just adjusting the height of the stakes. The solution I came up with is to pull the cover on and just leave a small gap between the windscreen and the tower. Then I look at the boat from outside to find out if I have any areas where the cover is too lose (i.e. where water will eventually pool). Then I climb back in the boat, under the cover, and adjust the stakes accordingly.
Now that I have the stakes adjusted for proper fit, I don't have any more issues with pooling.

taught line from bow to stern with PVC uprights in key locations does the trick.

The stakes with the big flat head works for me as long as the cover is tight. I climb in and out like ES.

I bought and installed 2 fiberglass bows. I used one of the cover straps and hand sewed in 2 loops to slide the bows through. I secure one end to the rear with the boat cover clips for fast connect/removal and the other end to the pylon. This keeps the bows from moving fore and aft during cover installation and high winds. Problem solves and all water drains off correctly
