    Fuel gauge stuck at 3/4

Has anyone else had this happen, we have a 04 SANTE and the fuel gauge is stuck at 3/4 of a tank, it will go to full, but wont go down passed 3/4.

Maybe your float is snagging somewhere on the shaft of the sending unit. Try taking it out and turning the ignition on (make sure you have a fan to blow the fumes out just in case) and move the float up and down the sending unit to see if it registers on the gauge. You can also ground the leads of the gauge for a couple seconds. If the gauge is good, you should see the needle sweep completely across the gauge. That would indicate the sending unit is bad. They're very easy and inexpensive to replace. Good peace of mind to know how much gas you actually have without having to pull up the floor to look at the level in the tank.

Mine won't go past 3/4 as it tops out...But I agree with post above as i played with mine...Easiest thing to do is just take sender unit out and play with it and watch the gauge. That way you can easily test both sender and gauge....
