1996 SSN Pro Boss GT 40 engine problem

Recently replace assist solenoid and fuel relay to fix a no start condition. Boat ran fine for about 3 outings. Now, boat starts up fine and runs great for about 10 minutes and then begins to stall badly, doesnt die, but had to run less than 2000 RPM to get back to dock. Engine temp shows appx 132 degrees. My oil pressure runs high for a bit until engine warm and then normalizes. I have recently changed filter and oil, and it didnt change oil pressure readings. Ideas?

What is the condition of your distributor?
When was the last time that the fuel filter was changed?
If this is the fuel injected GT-40 EFI, you may want to see about checking the fuel pressure. I think the fuel pumps are pretty reliable but can cause a real power loss if they start failing.
Again, if your engine is the EFI, there are quite a few censors that could cause the condition that you are describing.

Other owners are much smarter than me when it comes to these engines, one of them will be along shortly and get you pointed in the right direction.

Hopefully this will be an easy fix and you will be back on the water soon!

Check the fuel pressure when you are having problems.
      Here is how.
