Another prop question... 226

I am currently running the Acme 644 on my 07 226 w/ 6.0. With the additional ballast for surfing, I am considering the Acme 1234. We would like a prop w/planty of low-end power with the ability to still cruise across the lake to get to a cove. Is anyone running this prop on their 226 or have you ridden in/behind a 226 with this setup?

You will love the 1234 over the 644 assuming you have clearance. I cant believe Nautique would even send that boat out with a 644 on it! I don't have a 226 but do have a 210 and just changed over from the 1579 to a 1235 and the boat is better in every catagory! Nautique should be ashamed for putting out these boats with such a limited prop!

Thanks for the info. What did the 1235 do to your cruising speeds? What rpm do you see at cruising w/ the 1235 vs 1579? Thanks again for the reply and info, I appreciate your response.

Sorry I don't have hard stats like some have done but can tell you I dropped from about 3450 to 3050 rpm at 21.5mph and about 1500lbs ballast. My top end went up about 2mph(can run just over 40mph now before was about 38mph and thats prob due to me having a Fresh air exhaust on my boat). Lastly hole shot is vastly vastly improved. I can fill all factory ballast plus my 750 sacs in the back and boat still climbs out of the hole, never before would it do that. The problem with the 210 is that I now only have 1/2" clearance which is going to eventually cause prop burn on my hull at which time I will have a stainless plate put in place(I think Nautique should recall all these boats and just put the stupid plate on our boats at their cost due to this design defect).

Well, after speaking to Acme I have narrowed my search down to two props: 1234 and 1272. The only difference in these two props is the cup (1272 = .150 and 1234 = .105). We use our boat for surfing, wake boarding and cruising. Acme thought the 1272 may give a little better effiencies at cruising speeds. Has anyone had experience with either of these props on a 226?? Any info regarding these two props is greatly appreciated.
