2002 SANTE Ballast pump Diagram

Hi All,

I have issues with my rear ballast tanks. Both tubes are busted. My brother just saw this and tried to explain to me over the phone. Does anyone have a good diagram of how the entire ballast system in a 2002 sante WORKS. Almost like a wiring diagram.

When you say the "tubes are busted" do you mean one of the fill or drain hoses? These systems are very simple. There are three scoops on the bottom of the boat that are connected to 3 ball valves (one for each tank). Basically one pump is connected after each valve to fill each tank. There is an over flow hose that runs off the top of the tank thru the hull (small hole). When the tank is full, it just starts flowing out through the hose until you turn off the fill pumps. Then to drain, there is another pump connected to each tank that pumps out thru the hull (large hole). There is another large hole on one side, I think starboard for the bilge. If one of your hoses is broke, make sure to close the ball valves or you could risk flooding the boat unknowingly while cruising as the pumps can not hold back the water pressure. Sorry no diagram, but I hope that helps. Did you check the reference section for the owners manual? May have diagram in it.

Thanks Guys. This is perfect. It turns out that the pumps actually came apart. Literally the cap cam right off cleanly ... very werid. I am going to epoxy them back together.

Will let you all know what happens ...
