What year reverse rotation vs std?

I am looking to purchase a used Nautique, one that may need some work or restoration. I would like to find a std rotation engine model, so engine repairs would be easier (use of more auto parts).
Does anyone know what year/model/? Nautique started using std rotation engines?
Thanks in advance from a Nautique neophyte!

RE: What year reverse rotation vs std?

The direct drive models with left handed engines started in 1989 and up with the 1.23/1 trans with the exception of the 93 to 94 boats with 1/1 trans. The Vdrives with lefthanded engines started in 94 and newer boats. Please use marine specific parts in the electrical systems and fuel systems.

Thanks for the info (and advice).
Would you know what type of oil pan is used on the std rotation engines? If its a car pan, is it a front or rear sump style?

Its more like a center pickup style oil pan, You can get them from Jegs or Summit if needed.

The pans were from a Bronco, I believe.
