    Tachometer reving

The Tachometer in my 1996 SNOB at time does not hold steady. Even though the engine is running steady the guage shows increases and decreases in RPMs

I want to put a perfect pass in my boat and fear this will cause the Perfect pass to not work correctly. Has any one had a simular problem. Is it the guage or some kind of pick up? I am not sure how the tach gets its reading.

    Thanks,

    Phil

    RE: Tachometer reving

The older teleflex gauges did have a problem with fluxuation, but I think you will not have a problem with a install of perfect pass. The tach gets its signal from the grey wire on the tach and it comes from the engine from the negative side of the coil.
