    Ballist 01 pro air trouble

    Hey guys ive just brought a 01 pro air and im having trouble filling the Ballist..with or without the pump assist... I've spoke to the old owner he told me what to do and said it works.. Read the book and still I can't get it to fill.. Any help would be great thank you

    Welcome, there's a few things that could cause the problem, check that your check valve is open, and that it's actually working. I've had them freeze up before.
    That system works on controlling the vent to fill and empty and the valves used can be problematic, so check those as well.

    The most reliable way to fill and empty will be to get rid of the stock system and install an impeller style of pump. The trouble with the stock system (and "aerator" pumps in general) is controlling them from filling the system while under way.

    Also, search here and you will find a lot of posts regarding the ballast systems of the older boats...

      Hey thanks heaps for your reply.. How u are saying those vents freeze up is there a way of checking them?? Besides obviously just opening them..? So if I was to get rrid of the sstock system does that mean getting rrid of the hard tanks as well? Just seen that aa lot of people get rid of them and just replace them with bags.. Thanks heaps or your help cheers
