Interesting that you mention that. I had service records from prior owner and there was no record of replacing. i replaced at about 600 some odd hours and your right they looked fine...but since i was unsure how old i replaced anyway.

Interesting to see the responses. I will try and get the boat back to the dealer soon to see if something else would cause the premature wear. It's an 09', but bought in mid 2010, so 140 hours in two years.... Just doesn't make sense to me. Especially now that I got it back and it's like a different motor. ( and no, I don't think I was getting used to poor performance) the boat literally runs better than new now...

All plugs are not same/equal. Most last a very long time. You need to read them to see how they are burning then trouble shoot from there. Fuel mixture problem, ignition wire problem, ignition system problem, etc. Too lean or too rich? search on you tube to see how to read plugs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiMM2S0aADM

I like Bosch 4+, in all my applications, I have not found any that beat them. There are rebates on Bosch plugs, form on their web site. My last set came from amazon (best price). http://www.boschautoparts.com/SparkP...m4.aspx#promos

My money is with 81nautique. If the dealer replaced the pump and it has not had plugs since its most likely due to the low fuel pressure and running lean. If you have done plugs since the pump was done and it has the same look on the plugs you may have another issue.

It is three years later. Thought someone might like to see what about 330 hours looks like on a set of plugs. I thought they looked pretty good. I haven't tested yet. With the hard tanks replaced with 1,100 sacs this is a 30 minute - or less - job. After putting anti-seize on all eight, I just sit down on the sacs and take them one at a time so as not spend any time figuring out which wire goes where.

P.S. I would also add that after over 330 perfect hours we have proved conclusively you don't have to pay more for a set of plugs for the 343. Just go with the autolite app605 double platinum plugs and be happy.
