ced,
I would just take them off and leave them off. I personally think the boat looks better without any stickers on it. I got a 97 super sport this winter and took every sticker off it. It looks great. One of the main reasons I like to take the stickers off also is because as the gel fades the gel underneath doesn't so if in the future the stickers get scraped up again and you can't find replacement you are stuck with either bad looking stickers or funny looking gel. My gel wansn't faded yet so I just got rid of them.
As far as getting stickers for your boat I can't help you with that.

I've already been thinking about that, but didn't do it yet because of the problem you've been explaining in your post (fading gel).
Anybody else done that on a boat the same age as mine? The sun's not hitting so hard in Luxemburg, could give me a reason....
I also have a 97 SNOB, that the stickers are in rough shape. I ordered new ones from Midwest Correct Craft in Angola, IN....they were here in 2 days, and were $54 per side. I don't think they do individual letters though, because mine came on a roll with all of them together. Worth a call though.
