    need advice on replacing prop

    I bought a 2005 nautique 196 limited with excaliber 330 engine I need to replace prop I need info on left or right rotation, pitch , bore , diameter I plan on sending in four blade to be trued this leaves me with the option to buy three blade and I would need same info for that route as well. Can anyone help?

    The prop should have most of the info you are asking stamped on it. You can also call Acme or Delta ( site sponsor) for help. They should be able to give you what you need. You can also search the site for props for sale or what the stock prop is for your boat.

        the factory 3 blade is 470. There might be two other choices but you have to study the table at the acme site.

          There was never a "factory 3-blade" option on the 196.

          The 470 will turn 200rpm or so higher than the 422, as it has 1/2" less pitch. My dad ran a 470 with extra cup in it on his '03 196/Excal... but honestly, Id just stick with the 422, as it will keep your WOT revs right about where you want them (~5000).
