1999 Air Nautiques GT40 fuel injection

My boat finally had to be towed for the first time yesterday since I bought new? I usually pull other boats.

My Boat was running fine, then backfire with no power, would not re-start. Checked breakers, and have over half a tank of fuel. I pulled the PCM fuel cell cannister and it was dry, the high speed pump inside seems to work fine. It is safe to assume the external electic pump in-line with PCM cell is bad or should I check something else?

I got some good advice here last year when a reader had same issue with relys. I replaced them both as one of them has a crack in the rear so it was arching the ignition to ground.

    Thanks for any suggestions....Bob

It has been almost three weeks since I had to dig this thread up.
    Do this:
    http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...=fuel+pressure
Post # 8 in that thread has information about the low pressure pump.

I had this problem last year getting ready to launch. I turns our the low pressure fuel pump was failing and it popped the breaker. It is the red button on the back of the engine marked 30. I tried pressing it but apparently I didn't press hard enough. Once it was reset ( pushed really hard) it ran great for the next week. I then went home and replaced the fuel pump.

I too had a low pressure fuel pump issue on a 1997 GT-40 I had. It was full of dirt keeping gas from pumping. I replaced it with a new one.
