Anyone have any experience using the Royal Purple SAE-40 in a GT-40? Just curious if it is worth the extra money vs. using a high quality SAE 40, say Mobil 1.
I have 2428.5 Hours on my 1997 Ski Nautique, with GT-40 engine, using Valvoline VR-1 racing 40 W oil. I also use Motorcraft FL1-A oil filters.
I honestly think that if Royal Purple oil was that good, they would not have to use a gimmick like purple dye in it, and heavily advertise on Saturday morning car shows.
