Fiberglass Repair / Paint Recommendation - Minneapolis Area

I would like to paint my rear vents on my SANTE220. They are currently Silver Cloud with what appears to be a few stress cracks in each. Is that normal? These would need to be repaired and then I would like them painted gloss black. I have read where others have done this using a PPG epoxy paint. Any recommendations on who to use in the Minneapolis area for this work? Thanks for your feedback.

Have you had any body shop/collision work done on your vehicles? If so, ask them. It should be no problem for a body shop to do what you ask. The only thing is getting them to do such a small job. That's where a established relationship goes a long way.

Well, the beauty is that since it's the off-season here in MN, I can give the shop some time to do the paint work when they have some other gloss black to spray. Has anybody powder coated their vents or are they typically just painted?

Any good bodyshop can paint the vents for you. Powdercoating those vents is a NO-NO! The vents are either fiberglass/gelcoat, or an acryllic or plastic compound in the later years.
With the new clear coat paints these days, the paint will last you a long time. I think sometime after 2008, CC changed the vent construction materials, so better check before the bodyshop starts.
