99 SN rear floor panel breaking down

I noticed this season that flex was developing in the removable rear floor panel. After removing carpet found that top sheet was broken at edge with some obvious compression of foam insided. Anyone else had a similar problem. Planning on a fiberglass repair. We ski with rear seat out and so panel gets plenty of walking on all the way to rear.

    Hey jschofiel,

I've got the same 99 ski that you do and my rear floor panel cracked pretty much right through on either side of the access port. I had a welder buddy of mine weld an aluminum bridge that goes from side to side resting the lip that the floor sits on to help support the piece. I'm the only one that knows its there, and it works really well. Otherwise you'd be looking at a new piece with a possible carpet color mismatch.

I have a 98 ski with the same problem, but mine is really broken through. Does anybody know where to get a new one, does anyone have one to sell (PM me)? I was thinking of using a piece of marine plywood otherwise and putting the carpet on it. Ideas?

        I ended up fixing mine
        1. Removed carpet
        2. Removed top of tray by using large hand saw to slice between foam and top sheet
        3. Removed crushed and broken foam from bottom of tray
        4. Poured in new 8lb expand foam where needed and sawed/sanded flush
        5. Layer cloth, layer of mat, epoxy resin and sandwiched back together
        6. Put old carpet back on. Probably better than new

Replacing foam is the key for a fix
