    SN200 trailer HELP

Hello, my trailer has an adjustable (single) axle. I need to find out what's the distance I need to have between the middle of the axle and the boat's nose (say at the tow hook). My Boat is a Ski Nautique 200 OB witha a tower.

Can anyone help me with this?

I can't say the dimensions. But, I'd say if you'd put the tongue on a scale....you'd want to measure about 400 lbs.

I weighed the truck and trailer and then the trailer with the tongue on a separate part of the scale....and both versions indicated I have somewhere between 400 and 450 lbs on mine (2006 206 w/single axle).

That number scares the heck out of me, but it sure tows nice and i never have to worry about the bow popping up when the trailer is disconnected and someone climbs on the swim platform.

My 2000 Ski weighs 325 at the tongue, but it's a dual axle. I have heard 300-500 lbs is proper. I think you could do this at home or at the lake with a household scale as they measure up to 350. Measure, float the boat , move the axle, reload the boat, try again. Good luck.

I can't move the axle with the boat on the trailer, that's why I was hoping to get measurement from boat nose to axle.

You could weigh the tongue and then calculate a new distance with just a simple moment calculation.

You could use two similar bath scales to split the tongue weight in half.

Single axle tongue weight is generally 10% of the weight not to exceed 350/500/1000 depending on the limit of the hitch and coupler.
