Hopefully there are some guys/gals on here that can help me out. Never had any issues with this boat its been nothing but fantastic. But pulling it out the other day you put in your code and press start( guages, stereo, etc) come on, usually you would press "start" once again and the engine will start. This step is currently doing nothing. I was thinking at first it could be the batteries but have determined that is not the case. Ive checked the little clip thing thats got to be in place. Not sure where to begin. Starter? thanks

I had an issue with my 01 a couple of times. 1st was the kill switch, it was in place but the connection was bad at the back of the switch. Try linking the 2 wires on the baCk and see if it will start.
2nd was my neutral position switch. Check boat is in neutral, if it is try linking the wires on the neutral position switch, this is situated on top of the gearbox.
I know other guys on here haVe had issues with the boat on off bilge toggle switch but sounds like yours may be ok as you have power to the dash? Maybe someone can confirm this?
Hope this helps?Current

There should be a start fuse in a big connector near the fuel pump relays. Might also be one in your main fuse panel. I can't attach the pcm operators manual. Mine is for '05, but should be very similar. pm me email if you want a copy. shows clearly on page 30.2005 SV-211

thanks everyone for the help once again! fooling with it tonight still no solution. ski4evr im sending you a pm with my email for that scematic because im not sure of the exact location of the big fuse connector near the fuel pump relays, or even the fuel pump relays for that matter. I did check the circuit breaker box under the driver area and the start/run was fine. the only thing im noticing is that the boat is flashing low fuel when i try to crank. Could this be an issue? i hadnt thought about it before because the engine isnt even attempting to turn over so im guessing its something electrical.

Can you hear the fuel pumps running when you turn the ignition on?
If so it could well be the starter solenoid. Find the solenoid and bridge the connections to see if it will turn the engine over. If so then swap the solenoid for a new one.Current

Changed mine on my 01 san and it was a right pita. Very fiddly to get to. Had to take the rear seat back rest out and the rear seats to get at it better. Not sure if yours will be in the same place as mine as mines the gt40. Good luck. Have you tried bridging it to see if it will start? You can bridge it at the starter motor itself too.
Good luckCurrent

On your starter motor there should be a couple of connections, if I remember correctly one will have +12v on it and the other will have nothing and should only get +12v on it when your trying to start the boat. However if you bridge these two connections by using say a pair of insulated pliers by touching the metal part of the pliers accross both connections your starter should kick in and turn over the engine. Just a quick way of checking your starters ok. If you then trace back the cables from the starter you may find a seperate starter solenoid. There is on my gt40. It may well be that solenoid that's no good. You can do the same thing on that solenoid too by bridging the large connections on the solenoid. You can then test the solenoid to see if its getting voltage to the switch side by using a volt meter on it when pressing your start button.
Hope this makes sense.Current
