    Pivoting Hitch

Attached are pictures of my latest project on my 2001 nautique trailer. Installed are caster wheels for the prop guard and a pivoting hitch. Everything works great! The pictures are for anyone else who may want to attempt this project on their trailer. I placed the pictures under the album, general pictures, Caster Wheels and also Pivot Hitch.

Hey ffmedic74, what brand trailer is that? Is it a year 2001 Ramlin, or a CC-brand trailer for a 2001 Ski Nautique? The prop guard and bow stop kinda look like a Ramlin, which is what came with my 01 SAN. Also, how about that winch? Did it come with the trailer or was that added also? I'd love to get mine modded like that. Did you do it yourself, or have someone local do it? I'd love to find out as I'm only an hour from Dayton.

It is a 2001 model year Ramilin Trailer. The winch came standard on the trailer. This should be able to be done to any Ramilin trailer with a jig saw and drill. I actually purchased the swing tongue assembly from Eagle trailer. There is also another company that just came out with the same swing tongue with blocks etc. http://www.jsmfg.com/prod03.html They are selling this product for about $45 bucks. If you know any good welder they can have this on your trailer in a few hours. Hopefully the pictures in the gallary section will help anyone who wants to do the same thing. The caster wheels for the rear of the trailer proved to be the most difficult due to the planning phase. Our driveway is extremely steep and the trailer literally rode up ALL WEIGHT on the caster wheels so it has proven to work well. jhiestand what part of Ohio do you live in? We just moved from Dayton to Lexington, KY.
