boat cover question

I have a factory 230 cover and was wondering what type of prop should have come with it. Received two but not sure which one to use. One is two poles with buckles and straps attached and the other is a piece of canvas shaped in a wierd "H" shape with straps and buckles. I have used the poles but wondered what the other is for. Any suggestions?

The H shaped one sounds like the tie-down that comes with the Z-5 bimini. It is to help strap and hold down extra stuff (like a tube) on top of the bimini.
