My SANTE is leaking from the LT. SIDE rub rail, any suggesti

Just curious if anybody eles has this problem, when making a left turn, water rushes in between the upper and lower parts of the hull (rub rail). The location inside is 2-3 feet towards the rear of the glove box drain. My local dealer says to pull the rub rail and silcone the scews...........Sounds like a fix but ALOT of water comes in, it seems to be a bigger problem. Any suggestions from anybody with the simular problem?

    Thanks,

    Brian

Only addition is that i would start about 3' forward of the leaking area & go all the way to the left rear. Then ur sure to get it all. May have to clean out old sealant 1st. OF

My suggestions didn't work? It wasn't the drain?

Are you sure it is coming in between the hull and deck?

When i do a reall sharp turn that sinks that side down to the water line, I get a bunch of water that hooks on the rubrail, and flows OVER the deck into the boat. i guess I am asking if you see where the water is coming in, or just see the aftermath from it or the general area the water is coming from.

No, it's not coming over the deck, and the turn doesn't have to be that sharp. I guess coming from a MC, I don't expect this to happen.

How new is the boat? That should be covered under warranty if it is still in effect. Something does not sound right.

That is crazy, what year is your SANTE? I would make sure water is not pushing up the cooler drain and leaking there. Otherwise I would ship that bad boy back to CC and get a new boat, hull deck separation is very serious, I have never ever heard of this happening and I thought it was impossible with the way CC fuses them together. Don't mean to freak you out, but I bet if you call CC they will be all over it like white on rice.

The way I understand it, is 5 year transferrable warranty on DT and interior, costs money to transfer. Lifetime on Hull, period. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Chris, is the person from Mid-West correct craft a person from a dealer? If so, I have many buddys from dealers. This isn't the problem, If or when I do pull my rub rail, I need a contact person at CC to discuss my problem if it's more serious.

I have noticed this same issue. If making a hard left turn with extra people in the boat, I seem to get water coming from the same area you mentioned. In my boat, it seems to be coming directly above the seat that has the cooler.

I would appreciate you letting me know what you find out.

Keep in mind the hull warranty can only be transfered once, so it is lifetime for only two people, the original ower and second owner.

I would defenatly get that boat in to the dealer, and would even try to have them on the boat in the water and make it happen for them. It sounds like a major problem.
