    Winterizing 2012 SAN 210?

Well time its come to finally put her away for the winter. This is my first Nautique and I wanna be sure I put her in hybernation correctly. Its a 2012 SAN 210 with heater. If you have any suggestions or see that I have left anything out...please let me know. These are the things I have done so far:

-drained water from exhaust manifold plugs in front bottom of manifolds, middle, and in the crossover chamber in rear

-pulled both knock sensors out and let drain

-pulled out the 7/16" bolt in the tranny cooler, and also loosened hose to drain water

-pulled clear plastic bottom bowl off of strainer and cleaned the mesh strainer.

-pulled plug on back bottom of v-drive with 1/2" ratchet and drained

-pulled out brass plug on bottom of water pump elbow

-unloosened clamps for heater hoses and lightly, blew into one hose while the other drained into the hull until empty

-blew out all 3 ballest pump sets of hoses

-put sta-bile into the 1/4 tank of fuel I have left in the tank

I have a couple of questions...The boat will bein a dry garage this winter at temps betweenmid teens and upper 30's mostly.

    1) Do I need to put anti-freeze in it?

    2) If so...how much and what method is best?

    3) Can I put it it in through the the water intake hose and hit the switch over a few times to circulate it through the block, etc? or is it better to manually poor it in?

4)how much antifreeze and what mixture? 50/50?

    5) By blowing my heater hoses out...is there still water left in the heater core?

    6) how about checking impeller?

    7) Do I need RV antifreeze in empty ballast tanks? Ive heard both yes and no??

My owners manuel doesnt seem to break the winterization process down like I am used to, so I figured I better get some info from you guys on doing it properly. If you can think of anything I can do better or anything in addition to the steps above..please let me know.

    Thanks Much,

    Andy

I've never actually winterized my own boat, so I can't check your procedure...except for the gas. The manual recommends storing the boat with the tank full (and adding Sta-Bill to it). The theory on this is that if the tank is full, there's no room for moisture/condensation to build up.

I have been asking Noob winterizing questions on my 2009 206 as this is my first year as well. I cannot/would not provide any definitive info on this as I am a noob too.

One question? Does your motor have a "raw water" and "fresh water" system?

As far as pumping in antifreeze I can tell you what I did, and that is once I drained water from those places indicated in the owners manual I poured 4 gallons of pink -50* RV antifreeze in a bucket stuck the raw water intake hose in the bucket and started the boat sucking up all the RV Antifreeze until I saw it spurt out of the exhaust a drip out from the housing where the drive shaft comes through the hull. I did not drain the RV AF but I know some do.
