How To: Removing rear ballast tanks (2005 SANTE)

With the weather here in East Texas finally getting cold, I've decided to winterize the boat and start some of my winter projects. First on the project list - removing the rear wedge tanks and replacing them with bags. I took pictures along the way to help anyone who is thinking of doing the same.

All together, it only took me about an hour. The worst part (by far) was removing the hoses from their barbed fittings, other than that the whole process was cake. The only tools required were a 7/16" wrench (or Crescent) and Phillips and flathead screwdrivers. It was N-A-S-T-Y under those tanks!

    Nice pictures!

Are you going to reuse the aerator pumps or switch over to impeller-type pumps?

I'm planning on replacing the aerator pumps with impeller style. One for each of the rear bags and one for the center tank/bow bag.

The dividers are some sort of synthetic/plastic "board".
