Looking for 1998 Ski Nautique removable rear floor piece

Looking for the floor piece from a 1998 Ski Nautique. I am in a need of the removable floor pannel that runs from behind the engine under the back seat, with a circular access cover. I believe this was the same part used in many different model years. Please contact me if you have one you are willing to sell. Thanks!

May be cheaper to build your own. Is it gone or just rotted/coming apart? Your dog house hinges or brackets may also be on that panel.

I have the panel, but it is broken. When you step on it, it just squishes under your feet. How would you suggest building building my own? Thanks

Depends on what material the core/structure of that panel is. Believe it originally was a composite board material. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows for sure.

Remove all the hardware from the old panel for re-use, including the carpet if decent and removable without destroying. Use old panel as template (assuming it fit correctly) and cut new panel.

If carpet needs replacing you may be able to find it locally or use Christine's via their link on this site.

Really should be an easy job, if not within your comfort level bring it to a local trusted upholstery shop.

I would think that its probably easier to repair/reinforce the existing panel from underneath than it would be to start from scratch. A piece of composite material that size is likely to run a few hundred bucks. Chances of being able to reuse the carpet are slim to none.

Perhaps drying the panel indoors for a while, then apply some CPES to seal and strengthen it up. Then you could reinforce it with some composite material, like some trim for a synthetic deck would maybe work.

The panel on a '98 is already going to be composite, so CPES isnt going to help the issue. If its made with a material that glass will stick to, I'd be reinforcing it with a few layers, at a minimum. Depending on the extent of the damage, some bracing with angle aluminum or similar may be required as well.

Timmy, curious, do you know what exactly is the material used for those panels, is it a coosa board or what and where could it be purchased?

Repair certainly may be viable however without pics it's really hard to determine.

No idea what that panel is made from... id like to see a pic. If glass will stick to it and youre not missing parts, then its repairable.

If it were me, and a new panel needed to be fabbed, Id be using coosa for sure.

As far as I know my 1999 SKi Nautique has marine ply for that board, it's definitely wood not composite. Should be easy to copy it.

My 1997 Ski Nautique uses a white material for the aft of the engine removable floor board. it is not wood. If your 1999 has marine plywood, somebody changed something after it left the factory.
