    2007 Super Air Nautique starter

New owner of a 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 T/E. First nautique and I love it, huge upgrade from my 1984 glastron. But had a couple questions. Had to replace the starter the first time out on the boat? Are these starters known for going out? Also i have to hold down the start button for
about 8-10 seconds before starting up is this normal?

Could be normal wear and tear on a 5 year old starter. It could have possibly gotten wet before you bought the boat. As far as the start sequence goes do u mean the boat turns over for 8 seconds or u push and hold the button that long before it begins to turn over. If it is the later, try pushing the button one time to power up then push to start and see if that works. I always powered the dash with first push and then pushed again to start on my 07 and never had to hold the button down.

We relaced the starter on it. I have push the button to power up everythin, then when i push again it acts like it wants to crank the starter cuts off. Ill push right ater that and the boat fires right up.
