    exhaust manifolds salt nautique 200

Is there any recommendation/ advice on how long one should wait to change gaskets in manifold risers for boats sitting in salt

I had a bad experience once on the
206 where i got water into the oil and dont want to repeat. Cant see any visible leaks/ rust stains so far

    cheers

do you have closed loop cooling and a flush on it? in that case i'd say about 4-6 years depending on how salty. you can and should replace the gaskets and hardware sonner than that though. nautique parts has packages already made up. i just got one for my excalibur 330.

i just realized what i wrote about the closed cooling and flush are a non issue related to the manifolds/risers. i already knew that so i apologize for the mix up. however, it should be closed cooled w/ the flush.

Do CAT manifolds still have this issue?

i have no idea. i know the crusader engines are fully closed which would eliminate this issue. i'm still wondering why a half system is even installed when a full system is/was available.

            guys

I do not have closed cooling engine. I have flush kit and flush after every use, but still wondering how often these graphite gaskets should be replaced before they perish
